The Mission 5&2 Basketball League (powered by BETTERBALL!) is a SCHOOL league with teams comprised of boys or girls from their school/parish. Coaches may invite kids from 2 schools/parishes if they are having trouble getting a full team together.


* Please register your team by November 4, 2017. We will make every effort to accept all teams who wish to play in the league but space might be limited for some divisions.
* Create an account or log-in to your existing Mission 5&2 account and proceed to register your son or daughter for the proper program. The registration system will ask if you have a team code, at this point choose "NO" and then click CONTINUE to register as the head coach. The only volunteer option when creating the team is Head Coach. If you are the Team Manager, please just agree to be called "Head Coach" for registration purposes. 
* If applicable, register your son or daughter. You will only be paying for your child! 

* Once your team registration is complete you will be prompted to invite your players via email. ALL YOU NEED TO ENTER IS THEIR EMAIL ADDRESS! (If you opt to do this step at another time, visit your TEAM PAGE to send invitations to players and others Coaches or Team Managers. Once on your TEAM PAGE, click ROSTERS, and then MANAGE ROSTER INVITES to send the invitations.)
* If your school has more than one team in the division and you do not know rosters yet, please create two separate teams online and invite all of the players to one team for now, so they can register with the discounts. By Nov 18 send your rosters to and we will get your teams set-up online from there.

3rd grade girls

Most games: Saturday afternoons at Agnes Irwin School

3rd grade boys

Friday nights 6:30-8:30 pm at The Haverford School and Episcopal Academy

4th grade girls 9 games on Saturdays at Baldwin School between 12-5:30 pm (Dec 2, Dec 9, Jan 6, Jan 13, Jan 20, Jan 27, Feb 10, Feb 17. Feb 24)

1 game on Sunday, Dec 17 between 1:30-5:30 at Baldwin

4th grade boys

Saturdays at Springfield Healthplex between 1-6 pm (Dec 2, Dec 9, Dec 16, Jan 6, Jan 13, Jan 20, Jan 27, Feb 3, Feb 10, Feb 24)

5/6th grade girls

Sundays at Academy of Notre Dame on Sundays between 1:30-3:30 pm

2017-18 General Info

Boys Divisions: 
  • 2nd Grade (8' rims, 27.5 ball)
  • 3rd Grade (9' rims, 27.5 ball)
  • 4th Grade (10' rims, 28.5 ball)
  • 5th & 6th Grade (10' rims, 28.5 ball)
Girls Divisions: 
  • 2nd Grade (8' rims, 27.5 ball)
  • 3rd Grade (9' rims, 27.5 ball)
  • 4th Grade (10' rims, 28.5 ball)
  • 5th & 6th Grade (10' rims, 28.5 ball)

League Fees per player (min 10 players per team):

  • $100 through October 20 (early bird)
  • $105 October 21 - November 17
  • $110 Late fee begins November 18

Other information:

  • All teams will play 10 games between December 1 - March 4 (most games will be completed by the end of February)
  • Practices are scheduled at the discretion of each coach. Unfortunately we cannot secure gym time for practices. The league will provide an insurance certificate for any practice site a coach secures. Email with the name and address of the location.
  • As gym locations and game dates are solidified, information will be updated
  • Game schedules will be available by Thanksgiving
  • Minimum number of players per team is 10. If a team is having a hard time getting 10 players, they can get a team sponsor to make up the missing player fees.  


September 26 - Early bird fee of $100 begins - Coaches must register the team before players can register!
October 21 - Standard registration fee of $105 begins
November 3 - Deadline for teams to register*
November 8 - Deadline for team sponsors

December 1-3- First weekend of games in most gyms

* Please know space is limited and we cannot guarantee every team a spot if a division fills up before the stated deadline. Be mindful of the registration fee deadlines to give families ample time to register before the late fee sets in.
