Goals & Game Plan

The goal of the Champions program is to provide a program for boys and girls with special needs that provides:

* social interaction with peers who may or may not have a disability
* physical activity
* safe space to try new activities
* participation on a team
* opportunity to have fun and build confidence
* success and accomplishment
* introduction of lifetime leisure skills (screen-free ways to pass time)
* did we mention FUN?!?!

Because all children are so unique, how can we provide all of that to a variety of kids with a wide-range of mobility and ability? Here is our game plan:

1. The program will be 60 minutes and a detailed schedule will be available ahead of time so kids and caregivers know what to expect
2. We will offer a variety of activities each week and everyone will be encouraged to try everything. Each session will include a choice period where they can enjoy a period of time at whatever activity they enjoyed most that day.
3. We will have adult Directors leading all of the activities and have a 1 on 1 teammate for every registrant. You can bring your own teammate or we will provide one. If your child will not need a 1 on 1 teammate that is fine too.
